How many sessions are typical?

It varies, because everyone’s situation is different — and TTC timelines and treatment phases differ, too. Many people do best with a short block of sessions during key high-stress periods, such as: The lead-up to a treatment cycle - Waiting periods (two-week wait, results days, scan days) - After a setback or loss -When sleep and anxiety are becoming unmanageable - When TTC pressure is affecting intimacy or daily functioning

A common approach is to start with 2–4 sessions close enough together to break the stress loop and stabilise sleep/coping, then move to as-needed support around key milestones. We'll tailor the plan to your needs, your pace, and what's happening in your TTC journey.

Do I have to talk about loss or trauma?

Only if you choose — and only at a pace that feels safe. You will never be pushed to disclose details you’re not ready to share. Sessions can be highly effective while staying focused on the present: your stress triggers, your emotional responses, your sleep, and the patterns that are keeping you stuck.

If loss or trauma is part of your story, we can work in a trauma-informed way by:

  • Prioritising stability, safety, and grounding first
